Skull Disco


Woe was the day this maverick imprint disbanded.

With a penetrating vision and amazing quality control, Skull Disco carved a hybrid-genre niche that has yet to be filled. Some nameless form of mutant, tribal, dread: a teeming mix of minimal techno, world music, dub, and glitch. Ponderous, thudding riddims; skittering edits; Eastern instrumentation; jagged, techy synthesizers, heavily delayed vocals from Jamaica to India; grimey, modulated subbass and more tablas than you could shake a handballa at reverberate through cavernous dubbed-out atmospheres.
